Dehlia Oeuvray Smits

Dehlia, daughter of Josy and Suzanne Oeuvray-Zurbuchen, grew up surrounded by horses, learning to ride at her parents' riding school right next to the present centre. As a teenager she went from victory to victory — four European pony championships, with gold and silver at the Swiss pony championship. After a year of business school and time spent learning languages and riding in Ireland, Holland and Ticino, she devoted herself entirely to horses. At the end of 2001 she left her parents' school to manage the new riding centre. With horses placed at her disposal by the Burrus family, she earned results at major internationals — Aachen, Calgary, Geneva, St-Gall, La Baule and Dublin — and a bronze at the 2001 Swiss elite championships. Today she still rides, manages the centre alongside Edwin, and is president of the Challenges de Chevenez.
